Beyond neuropathy
Class IV Laser Therapy, known clinically as photobiomodulation, is not only for neuropathy. The same FDA-cleared Summus Horizon laser we use for nerve symptoms is used throughout the week on wounds that are slow to close, on stubborn heel pain, and on patients recovering from surgery.
The mechanism does not change from one condition to the next. Specific wavelengths of light reach the tissue, cells increase their energy production, circulation to the area improves, and inflammation settles. What changes is where we point it and how we plan the course of treatment.
What we treat
Diabetic ulcers, surgical sites that have been slow to close, and other chronic wounds. Laser therapy is used to support circulation and tissue repair at the wound margin. We work alongside your wound-care provider rather than in place of them.
That first-step-in-the-morning heel pain. Treatment targets the inflamed fascia along the base of the foot, with the aim of settling inflammation so walking and standing become comfortable again.
Used after an operation to support tissue repair and help manage swelling and discomfort around the surgical site. Timing depends entirely on your surgeon’s guidance, so bring their instructions with you.
Tendon, ligament and joint pain, including knees, shoulders and the lower back. Often used alongside hands-on care rather than on its own.
