The Hands-On Care That Supports Your Treatment Plan

Gentle chiropractic care, myofascial release and deep tissue medical massage, used alongside Class IV Laser Therapy and SpineMED® Spinal Decompression.
A clinician releasing a trigger point during myofascial massage

Class IV Laser Therapy and SpineMED® spinal decompression are the two treatments most of our care plans are built around. They are rarely the whole plan. Nerves do not sit in isolation: tight muscle, restricted fascia and joints that have stopped moving well all affect how a nerve behaves, and how comfortable you are day to day.

These are the hands-on therapies we use alongside the technology. Which of them you receive, if any, comes out of your examination.

If you are nervous about chiropractic

We Are Not a “Snap, Crackle, Pop” Office

If the phrase “gentle chiropractic care” makes you picture a forceful twist of the neck, please read this part. That is not what happens here, and it is not what we would do to you.

  • No forceful twisting of the neck or lower back
  • No sudden thrusts, and no need for anything to pop
  • Low-force, instrument-assisted and mobilisation techniques instead
  • Adapted for osteoporosis, spinal hardware, joint replacements and fragile bone
  • You are told what is about to happen before it happens, every time
  • If you do not want a technique used, we simply do not use it

Tell us at your consultation if you have had an uncomfortable experience with chiropractic before. It changes how we approach your care, and it is useful for us to know.

What we offer

Three Hands-On Therapies

Gentle Chiropractic Care

Restoring movement to joints that have stiffened up, without the force people expect.

We are not a “snap, crackle, pop” office, and we say that plainly because so many patients arrive braced for exactly that. Many of our patients are in their seventies and eighties, some have osteoporosis or previous spinal surgery, and a good number have had an experience elsewhere that put them off chiropractic altogether.

What we do instead is low-force. That means gentle mobilisation, careful positioning, and instrument-assisted adjusting that delivers a small, precise impulse rather than a manual thrust. Most patients describe it as underwhelming, which is the point. You will be told what is about to happen before it happens, and anything you would rather we did not do, we do not do.

Myofascial Release

Slow, sustained pressure that lets tight connective tissue let go.

Fascia is the thin sheet of connective tissue that wraps every muscle and runs continuously through the body. When it tightens and loses its glide, it can pull on the structures around it, restrict how freely you move, and press on nerves that were already irritated.

Myofascial release works slowly and deliberately. Sustained, gentle pressure is held on a restricted area until the tissue softens and releases, rather than being forced. It is unhurried by design, and it pairs well with laser therapy in the same visit.

Deep Tissue Medical Massage

Therapeutic, targeted work on the muscle layers underneath. This is treatment, not a spa visit.

Deep tissue medical massage reaches the deeper layers of muscle and the tissue around them. It is aimed at a specific problem found during your examination, such as chronic tension through the low back and hips, or calves that have tightened up from months of walking differently to protect a painful foot.

Pressure is matched to what you can comfortably tolerate and is adjusted as we go. Deeper is not automatically better, and a session that leaves you sore for three days has not helped you. Tell your therapist what you are feeling and the pressure changes.
